My Top 10 Lists of Trusted Sellers on Vinted

Just like what I've mentioned on My Selling and Buying Experiences on Vinted's post , I will list my top 10 trusted sellers on Vinted based on my personal experience and be reminded again that this is unpaid post.

I chose them based on their pricing, item condition and customer service. Here they are:

McCaitie's Preloved Shop , this is our Vinted Wardrobe, including this on my list to share with you our own preloved items looking for a new home. Our personal items come from clean, pet and smoke free home. On a reasonable price and well described the condition and any flaws are with proof of photos and always stated.

Pound007 , Vintee seller where in you can get a very good deal items , good price and items as described all the time. Very friendly and honest seller.

Rasel85 , Another lovely seller on Vinted, selling mostly authentic jewelries. I find her pricing , reasonably good especially her items are all new. She's one of those seller that you can surely trust with item condition, fast delivery and knows how to handle well her customers.

Marywilliams123 , Lovely Vintee, accommodating, friendly and really knows how to deal buyer very well. Items always in fab condition.

dom1lach , is one of the sellers I love buying with again and again. Easy to deal with as a buyer and fab seller. I can't even find fault from this Vintee, all items that I bought from her was like new (if they are preloved) , she always give me discount and what more lovely is to receive a parcel with a free item. So easy to request reserving items with her, no questions ask.

chrtyshoponline , so please to found this Vintee, love buying again again with this store as well, always fab deals on offers all the time, cheap items in a very good and as described. Lovely and excellent customer service.

teeteebee40 , one of the Vintees that I'll treasure, so easy to deal with and very friendly. The item that I bought was as described.

jei_em , another fab Vintee. Items are as described and can get a good deal. Easy to deal with as a buyer and prompt payment.

gemc17 , is one of my trusted Vintee , I always get a good deal with her , items are beyond my expectations considering the good price.

annammc , is one of my fave sellers where I bought my wee ones lovely design of clothes, especially baby coats. Lovely to deal with. All items are in a reasonable price considering they are all in excellent condition.

I'm grateful that most Vintees that I dealt with are lovely sellers and/or buyers.

My Selling and Buying Experiences on Vinted

I used to give away our preloved and outgrown clothes, but pandemic, being stuck at home, made me realized that if I can make extra income from them, why not give it a try.

I used to sell preloved gadgets and bags on eBay but first quarter of this year I've tried selling in another selling platform Vinted, after seeing their advert on YouTube. I am hook as so easy to list and buyer is the one who paid for protection fee and postage, that encourage me to use and list our other preloved items because I don't really like to set the price too high. As long as you don't overprice the items, they sell fairly quickly.

Summarising the Pros and Cons that I've discovered.

The Pros that I've noticed selling on Vinted:

No seller fees
Easy to lists
Postage paid by buyer
App is so user-friendly
One negative feedback won't affect the 100s positive ones.
Quick withdrawal of money upon confirmation of delivery.

The Cons as a seller

So far I haven't experience any.

From selling to buying on Vinted.

I am so pleased selling on this platform because whatever price I set is mine once the order is completed. However, seems there is no perfect platform, I found buying here as a nightmare if you fall from seller who just want money and set aside credibility as a good seller with excellent customer service.

Yes, beware from Seller that putting descriptions and condition to an item as ' VERY GOOD ' , Vinted describe a Very Good item that is lightly used that may have slight imperfections, but still looks great. To my dismay, I've encountered a lot of seller describing items Very Good inspite being worn, as in faded clothes , if you are (NOT SO) lucky , you will receive an item with holes and Bobbling but not stated in the descriptions. What makes this annoying is that, Vinted doesn't have a free return policy, if you so so (NOT) lucky, if you decided to return the item, as Vinted's (unfair) policy, whatever the reasons, buyer will shoulder the postage on returning the item/s , unless the seller agreed to shoulder or pay half of the postage fee which is rare from my experience so far.

I listed my best sellers where I use to buy, please note this is not a paid post or paid link building, this is from my experience, sharing to all of you just incase you wanted to have a look and see what they offer. Although, for sure there are a lot of good sellers out there but opted to lists those I already bought from.

Some Snaps of Caitie's First Scottish Summer Trip

Time flies so fast. Caitie is 7 months now. Getting big and heavier. Unexplainable feeling seeing her development. From a wee baby that the only things can do was take milk, cry, poo, pee and sleep. Now are too many to mention, I was planning to post about her monthly development but at the moment I can't do it... yet! I'm juggling around baby sitting, household chores, home decorating, some side-hustle, and family day out!

And we were out today and let Caitie experience some things in life, lol.

My husband and I was kinda worried on what would be her reaction on her first bus trip. Oh yeah, we were scared that she kicks of while in the bus or walking around. We were amazed that she was so curious looking around and giggling. Smiling with most of the people she saw in the bus. We were pleased that most people waving and smiling at her when we were walking around the Scott Monument.

We came across lovely singing and dancing next to Art Gallery, Caitie was clapping and sort of 'singing' with the band.The centre was so lively, Princes street was loads of people shopping, taking photos, and enjoying the lovely scenery of the city centre... So nice to see the capital starting recovering from last few months.

It wasn't all bed of roses though. She had a wee cry when we put her back in the buggy. The wee madam wanted us to carry her all along, but we just let her for a wee while and after few minutes she just fell asleep.

It was a nice Family Day Out! Nice weather, Sunny with a bit of chill.

Moving on to my interview:

Q: Where you from ?

A: I’m from Manila and I’m now living in Suffolk

Q: What’s the reason of your migration?

A: I moved to England 3 years ago. I’m married to a British citizen and we decided to settle here for good

Q: How long you’ve been here in the U.K. ?

A: 3 years

Q: if you come here as Spouse of British National , how did you meet your spouse?

A: I met my husband in Abu Dhabi where I worked and lived for 10 years.

Q: Any struggle you experience on preparing your settlement visa?

A: I think the settlement process is pretty straightforward so, no. I have not struggled at all.

Q: Would you mind sharing your career path?

A: I’m a hospitality graduate and worked as an Office Manager for different sectors in the UAE. In the UK, I am a full time Data Analyst and I have taken a Degree level CIPD HR Qualification. I also own a bag business while juggling both my full time job and studies.

Q: Did you have a hard time finding job here?

A: no, not really. I found a job 3 months after arrival in the UK as an Office Manager for a food production company.

Q: How do you deal with homesick?

A: I’ve been away from home since I was 22 and I have lived an independent life so I really don’t feel homesick at all. Maybe foodsick sometimes (missing asian food) and so I just try to cook as homey as I can.

Q: What do you miss most in the Philippines?

A: food definitely! And the beach and the fine sand that they don’t have here!

Q: How did you adjust here (in the U.K.)?

A: well. I have lived in a very diverse country (UAE) and I am well traveled, been to the US, Europe, Asia and the Americas and I guess anywhere you go, being able to go with the flow is a must to adjust in a new place while keeping your ground. Having an open mind helps a lot in adjusting to a new place or environment and that’s how I adjusted here.

Q: Did you experience a culture shock ?

A: Yes and No. shock in the sense that some people in this country, especially in the isolated countryside can be quite ignorant and are not used to seeing people of colour.

Q: How did you deal the expectation of others being married to Foreigner ?

A: I never really felt being pressured of being married to a foreigner. I guess, we all have our lives to deal with and so for me personally, it doesn’t really matter what people say etc.

Q: How do you find life here compare to the Philippines ?

A: this is one tough question as I haven’t lived in the Philippines for more than a decade and only went home to visit which lasts maximum of 10 days. I guess life in the UK is much more relaxed and laid back for me. The UK is much more organised in a lot of ways but life in the Philippines is something special as the warmth of love from friends you grew up with and family is definitely priceless!

Q: What is your greatest challenges in moving here (in the U.K. )?

A: settling in to the countryside is quite a challenge for me because I grew up in a city and lived my entire life in big cities so to move and live in a countryside was quite tough but I have fully adjusted now - it’s always good to have your own car and able to move around freely.

Q: Where do you plan to retire and why ?

A: not really sure. Maybe in the Philippines?

Q: Do you have tips or words of wisdom to share with our readers of how life in the U.K. is ?

A: Life in the UK in general is like living anywhere new. You have to make sure you are able to adjust with the western culture and respect the country and people as a whole. My advice to Filipinos when it comes to work is to never settle for less. Don’t ever think that because we are Filipinos, we can only do low paid jobs as it is not true. If you have the experience and the knowledge aim for the gold! Be confident and be proud of who you are!

Q: Anymore tips on what to expect in moving to the U.K. ?

A: expect that the weather changes dramatically!

5 Reasons Why I Took A Break From Blogging

Year 2017 when I stopped blogging. Here are the five reasons why:

I was focused with my U.K. Settlement (Spouse) Visa

December 2016 when I got married with my British (okay, Scottish as he always murmur) boyfriend then. From then on, we've been working out how I can come with him in Scotland. Unfortunately, getting a U.K. visa is quite tricky or should I say, it wasn't that easy. First quarter of the year 2017, I spent almost most of my time studying/reading on how to get a U.K. Settlement (Spouse) Visa. What makes it complicated at that time was that, initially my husband does not earn the required annual income to sponsor a spouse. We tried to work out how and thankfully, it happened.

I lost my passion in blogging.

Year 2017 was a year of working out the U.K. Settlement Visa. Worked out the Financial Requirement and other necessary requirements like English Test and Tuberculosis Test. Compiled all the relationship proof like photos together, screenshots of chat history, his proof of travel in the Philippines, proof of remittances etc. Busy days and worries made me so tired to do more. My mind can't think of anything to write, I lost my track and I just don't wanna continue anymore.

Was in awe settling in the U.K.

Moving in another country was not easy especially to someone like me who was not used to living abroad. I felt like I was born again; new place, new people around , new work, new everything.

I felt homesick

I didn't expect to feel homesick as I am use to having a trip anywhere. I didn't realise that holiday and totally moved to another country is a massive difference. I just dwell on my homesickness and so again I don't wanna do anything else during that time.

Got settled and totally forgot to blog.

When I finally got all my documents needed for my U.K. residency and a job that I was enjoying, I totally forgot to blog. As if it doesn't exist. My old domain expired, didn't have the chance to renew it. I didn't write anything or even visit my blogsite.

Right now, I am trying to revive everything on my blog. My lost passion to blogging reignite and doing some redesigning. Though I'm so busy with my baby at the moment, I am trying my best to write once in a while.

One Castle at a Time : Stirling Castle Scotland

My husband and I love to travel, local or abroad we are trying to relax once in a while to escape from work and Scotland's cold weather. Unfortunately this year, because of Covid-19 Pandemic we opted to travel locally. Not just for the two of us but because we have a wee one now to take care of and to consider when travelling .

Stirling Castle visit was kinda a sudden trip. We just wanted to be away for a wee while, drive around and ended up in Sterling Castle [But no, I planned it two days before, hehe]. Being a member of Historic Scotland, admission is free for us. In line with their safety measures, visitors must book in advance to guarantee an entry.

But for those who are not a member admission fees can be found on Historic Scotland's website.

For a brief information, according to Wikipedia, Stirling Castle is one of the largest and most important castles in Scotland ( I didn't bother to ask why ;) )

Alright, let's go to our #TravelPhotos. So, hold your breath for 200 plus photos of a day trip in Stirling Castle. Seriously! But don't worry, I won't post all of them, just few. Hehe.

Further Leave to Remain (FLR M) Requirements

Dahil napapanahon na, I decided to collate requirements on extending spouse visa in the U.K. This requirements is extension from Settlement Spouse Visa to Further Leave to Remain as a partner (FLR M).

Requirements varies depends on the source of income, for this post I will share requirements for employed sponsor and applicant. Please bear in mind that, when you do your online application, there might be some difference depends on your circumstances as well as some additional documents based on how you answer the form. You can always give it a try to fill up online application form and save to go back later on.

Before you start answering the online application form, get ready the following as you need the information from the following:

You and your partner's passport
Children's passport if applicable
Applicant's Biometric Residence Permit
You and your partner's National Insurance Number
Work details
Accommodation details

Before we go to the list, please bear in mind that as of this writing no changes in the Financial Requirement (FR) . Minimum Income requirement still as follows:

£ 18,600.00 Partner with no children
22,400.00 One Non-EU child in addition to the partner
24,800.00 Two Non-EU children in addition to the partner
27,200.00 Three Non-EU children in addition to the partner

In addition, for FLR M, Sponsor and Applicant can combine their income to meet the FR but always be mindful with the rules on this.

THE DOCUMENT LIST FOR EMPLOYED SPONSOR AND APPLICANT

SECTION 1

FLR (M) Application Form ( the PDF file can be downloaded once you do it online)
Declaration forms part 1, 2, 3 including the sponsor's declaration form (should be downloaded after filling up the form)
Print out of priority booking payment if applicable
Print out of Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) payment
Print out of appointment date
Full scanned copy of Applicant's passport
Full scanned copy of Sponsor's passport
English test certificate A2 LEVEL MINIMUM (TRINITY SELT or IELTS LIFE SKILLS) , please note that if your country is on the exemption list for English Test you do not need an English Test Certificate.

SECTION 2 PROOF OF RELATIONSHIP

Marriage certificate with translation if not in English
Divorce/annulment papers if previously married
if applicable death certificate of previous spouse
Children's birth certificate (if applicable, British or non-eu
Full copy of children's passports
Support letters (optional)

Proof of Cohabitation

example of acceptable evidence include:

Letters or other documents from government departments or agencies, example: HM Revenue and Customs, Department for Work and Pensions, DVLA, TV Licensing
Letters or other documents from your GP, a hospital or other local health service about medical treatments, appointments, home visits or other medical matters
Bank statements or letters
Building society savings books or letters
Council tax bills or statements
Electricity or gas bills statements
Water rate bills or statements
Mortgage statements or agreement
Tenancy agreement
Telephone bills or statements

- you must provide at least 6 bills/letters, addressed to you and your partner jointly or in both names.

- the dates of correspondence should be spread evenly covering your stay in the UK living together.

- correspondence should be from at least 3 different sources

- IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH correspondence in your joint names, you may provide bills/letters addressed to each of you individually showing the same address for both of you. Example given in the application form is - 4 bills/letters in joint names to the same address and 2 bills/letters addressed to each of you at the address, in total 8 need to be submitted.

- IF NO CORRESPONDENCE IN JOINT NAMES, you will need to submit 12 bills/letters (6 each) showing same address. PLEASE DON'T FORGET, SPREAD EVENLY.

SECTION 3 INCOME

6 months wage slips if monthly pay, 7 wage slips if four-weekly pay , 13 wage slips if bi-weekly, 26 wage slips if weekly pay. Calculation is BEFORE tax and the last one should be within 28days of your application.
Letter from employer confirming

the employment
the gross annual salary;
how long the employment has been/was held;
the period over which the person has been paid the level of salary stated in their application;
type of employment (permanent, fixed-term contract or agency)

Personal bank statements should covered the pays of the submitted wage slips (last one within 28 days of online application submission)

OPTIONAL if you tick in the online application form

P60
signed contract of employment

SECTION 4 ACCOMMODATION

if Renting

Tenancy agreement
Letter from housing association
Recent council tax bill

if Owned

Land registry( within 3 months old)
Mortgage statement (within 3months old)
Recent council tax bill

if Living with relatives include

Letter from them stating that you live with them and that the house can accommodate all of you; confirm number of rooms and occupants

All documents should be scanned and uploaded to the Sopra Steria system once Visa Application Fees and IHS payments have been made or you can pay for an assisted biometrics appointment. Documents and all passports should be taken to the biometrics appointment.

Additional information to consider:

FILE NAME of documents scanned needs to be as simple as possible
FILE SIZE of each uploaded documents has a 6 MB limit but there's no limit on the number of documents you can upload.
SCAN IN GREYSCALE OR BLACK AND WHITE to help contain the files size but if you can make each documents below 6MB in coloured that would be fine.
PDF (preferred), JPG AND PNG format of documents.

HOW MUCH FLR (M) COST ?

£ 1,052.20 GBP => Visa Fee, each applicant (as of this writing)
19.20 => to have your Biometric information taken
400.00 per year => Immigration Health Surcharge as of the moment,
however on 1st of October 2020 the fee will increase to £624 per year
800.00 => optional, for super priority service to get a faster decision.

Please note this is not a professional advice, this is from my personal experience. Your list depends on your own answer in the online application form, though most of them would be the same. If you are making an application for initial entry outside U.K. , please read my list of requirements here.
